The CIW E-commerce and CompTIA Project+ program had the right mix and match of my desired modules and included Project management (a very important management tool), so I enrolled for this course.
So far it has been a very interesting course and I am very passionate about it, the tutors are very efficient and the course materials are very understandable, I am already feeling very knowledgeable in this field. My family and friends say I work on it and talk about it all the time. I even dropped my other course I registered for so I can have enough time to work on this course. I am really enjoying my course so far.
Thanks alot Skillstrain for giving me an oppourtunity to do what I really want to do.

Since starting this course I have learnt the "basics" of internet browsing, software, networking and email security aswell as FTP and its necessity in the I.T industry. These basics I thought I already knew, the course has taught me new things, and developed on knowledge I already had. I am now learning to use Dreamweaver CS3, learning to organise my desktop space and have learnt that keeping a a good regimental file structure is essential. To many this May not be an "achievement" as such. To me, this course was a key handed to me unlocking my new future, I have the tools, knowledge and support I need to provide myself with a new career. I am looking forward to moving on with parts B and C but realise part A is just as important, and that you have to learn to crawl before you can walk. Many thanks. Kind regards.

The past month has actualy been so hectic . I have first off showed my computer illiterate sister how to actualy use her computer an set up a new email addy for there small home based buisness. and recently ive started work on a full website for a joinery company based in paisley which includes the whole layout an all the graphics to do with the website aswell and im really pleased ( as are they ) about the way its progressed an will progress because I keep them in the loop everyday so they know exactly whats going on which I feel builds up a better relationship that way. and started designing posters for a local event for people I went to collage with last year. so ive been quite proud of myself . ive not sent a rocket to the moon . or climbed everest but ive started doing more than I thought, I mean I couldnt have imagined me making an entire website this time last month . so this is my personal acheivement. thanx for your time.

At first I thought I should be the student of the month because my birthday falls on March, thinking again I think it's about making a statement, looking back then and then looking now here, at where you are.
My Dad was assassinated while I was in Africa(I guess politics would never change) then my Mum came a year later and took me to Belgium(she's a Belgium national),I did my orientation , l studied the language(as much as I could) and then moved to the United Kingdom to school.
In January, my sisters friend told us about SkillsTrain. If the truth be told, all this time I wish I could say or was certain about what I really wanted to do but in the mist of everything and starting all over again without friends mentors and Families I think I just lost it.
I had wanted to become a doctor but in reality I could see it wasn't going to be possible, not anymore and the reasons are ...Complicated, Let's just say using the smart acronym it was specific, attainable, measurable and Time bound but not realistic, not anymore.
SkillsTrain has kept me back on track,My sister and I are student with skillsTrain and I read and have to understand for Me and her as she goes to University and I have to explains things to her as she has little or no time and we're doing just fine or rather we're doing too well.
At this point I would like to thank you guys at SkillsTrain for breaking down your books and the whole study materials, it's made study really easy.Skillstrain helps me look forward and the month of March has made me understand more than ever.
The month of March!!!It's been good but schooling with SkillsTrain has been better.
Thank You.

I am really studying hard in the course which I have taken, and my wish is to master this Webdesign course with E-commerce and Project Management. I am very happy studying with Skillstrain as you guys are very well organise.
I am doing my best to take advantage of this opportunity. I am working full-time and its not really easy to work and study at the sametime.
I always think of my dad who always told me... where there's a will there's a way...?
I am burning the midnight candles mostly everyday... I just want to master my subject and want to be very good at it.
My first assignment I scored 90marks...which I am quite proud. I was aiming 100mks actually. And it was a silly mistake.I hope my 2nd assignment would be 100mks which am still waiting for my results.
Thank you for giving a little time to me.

Hi all well what can I say.......
When I first applied for a web course I didn't hear anything until a month or so later in which time I had forgot all about it, when I got the call to say someone would be round to see me I was nervous and excited...what if they think I can't do it will I be able to pay all these this went round in my head and having suffered with depression for over 7 years you get a bit paranoid..anyway when he came round within 10mins I felt right at ease as he explained the course to me and what they expected of me....sounded great anyway 2 hours later he made a call and I got a course E-COMMERCE PROJECT MANAGER and only wanted to do web design but after speaking to me he said it would suit me so I said OK he knew I have a few major operations coming up and wanted something I could still do from home when I have my long recoveries.....he gave me the folder and went, I left it till the next day to look at as I was still on cloud 9.
When I looked at I thought on my god I can't do this but I got stuck in and studied hard didn't help that my computer keeps breaking down maybe I should of done pc repairer ha ha at first I rushed it as wanted to do it quickly but had to re-do a couple of TMA'S that will teach me so now I take my time and read everything twice and have completed my first section and just received my second folder im so proud of my self and the tutors have be great if I could pat myself on the back I would so to people who have just started don't look and think you can't do it YOU can and don't rush it's not a race and it's not worth it having to take the test again, good luck to everyone doing a skill's train course.

Getting 85% on my first TMA really gave my self confidence a real boost. So much so that I was confident I could solve a problem that my Internet Service Provide, a cable company, seemed unable to do.
I have two laptops at home, one from work using Microsoft and the other a Mac. Since signing up to the course meant I had to use the work laptop I decided to get them the cable company to reinstate this laptop to access my broadband. Great I thought, now I can access the Internet from either. Not true! My home laptop had stopped working and after repeated calls to the cable company, every time I logged out it lost the connection. Needless to say I was getting nowhere fast so I made a decision to go out to PC World and buy a wireless router. I followed the instructions, very nearly lost myself to panic at the first hurdle before sticking with it to successfully install it on my home laptop. I then configured my work computer to pick up the wireless router as well. So now the children can access a computer at the same time as I'm studying, making home life less stressful!
I felt dead chuffed as I've never had the confidence to do this before. My understanding of how the Internet connections work has helped me to succeed in something I would have asked someone else to do for me in the past. It just goes to show, you're never too old to learn new tricks!

I have very quickly realised that being a graduate is simply not enough to get a good job and earn an agreeable salary. I have registered my CV with many agencies with little to no response. I recently upgraded my CV and added that I was pursuing a course in E-Commerce and Project management and I am now being called for interviews. The last interview I went to was for a job as Office Assistant, and the interviewer said "are you sure that's what you want to do? You seem to be overqualified for this job" needless to say I did not get the job because he thought I could do so much better than just being an Office Assistant. I have never been told this before and I am certain That this course has made a whole lot of difference to my CV. Thanks to Skills Train I am several steps closer to getting my dream job. The Course is a challenge but then nothing this good comes easy, giving up is not an option for me now, because the future looks a bit more certain, once I have completed my course. thanks again Skills Train!!

I thought I would enter for student of the month because I have seen a major improvement in my assignments and hit the 100% mark for most of the e-commerce part A. Last week I entered the public exams for the CIW foundation v5 and passed which I find is a big step forward and I can now see the end of the tunnel. Im now almost ready for the next exam which would be the CIW e-commerce, just need to complete the Part B of the course. I seem to be getting on quite well during the summer months even though I am looking after our 2 year daughter and trying to keep her amused. Most of the studying is in the late afternoon/evening, it has taken 6 months so far to get where I am. I think the foudations course was the larger of the course's that I am taking, it's also difficult as you know bits and pieces of stuff already only to find that you didn't know it that well at all. Just waiting for my certificate to come through door now. Hopefully not long till I can start employment and get job satisfaction.
