This CCNP certification programme validates an individual's computer networking skills to a professional standard and forms the base that supports all of the career tracks supported by Cisco.

Holders of the CCNA and CCNP qualifications demonstrate an industry-recognised ability to install, configure and maintain networks. It is a significant declaration of understanding, skills and ability. For many it will be more than sufficient to secure a career as a network professional - holders of the CCNA and CCNP may display the designation on their business cards in recognition of their professional standing - whilst others may wish to use it as a catalyst for further study with a view to pursuing even higher levels of technical expertise (e.g. CCDP CCSE).

Your course is divided into sections. The first is preparatory, acting as a foundation and is dedicated to providing a thorough grounding in networking. It is based on the world renowned CompTIA N+ certification programme and provides much that you will need to know about installing, configuring and troubleshooting PC and networking hardware. Students who join the CCNP Training Programme with no background knowledge of PC hardware may preface CCNA Foundation with the valuable CompTia A+ Certification (PC Master).

The remaining sections are all CISCO specific, commencing with CCNA. This is in four parts and leads to full CISCO CCNA Certification (exam 640-821, CISCO INTRO and exam 640-811, CISCO ICND). You will than commence 4 CCNP sections which guide you through to the course conclusion - qualification as a CISCO Professional with CCNP status. Again, there are two exams involved - exam 642-801, building scalable CISCO Internetworks and exam 642- 811, building CISCO Multilayer Switched Networks.
