Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 8

Web designer course graduates may be interested to discover that Internet Explorer 8 has been released, which creator Microsoft claims will improve online security.
An NSS Labs study has asserted that the new online platform blocks between two and four times as many malicious sites as other browsers.
Features which could interest web designer course graduates include accelerators, which allows users to access internet-based services through right-click menus, and web slices, which allows information from sites to be accessible whenever users go online.
In addition, visual search suggestions will be implemented, which allow those using sites to perform real-time searches while online.
Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer of Microsoft, claims the release tackles the key issues which consumers have wanted.
He states: "With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match."
Earlier this month, Phil Turnbull, marketing manager at Hostway, claimed that the amount of video and audio content included on internet sites will increase, which could create opportunities for web designer course graduates.
