IT training course graduates should research before interview

Jobhunters who have recently completed an IT training course should use the internet to research the firms they are applying for, an expert asserts.

Chris Morrall, graduate recruitment careers management expert, recommends those who are invited for an interview should call and confirm, checking the format and layout the company will be using.

He says it is useful to use Google or Linkedin to find out information about the people who will be conducting the interview, discovering more about the person.

Mr Morall advises IT training course graduates to make sure their Facebook profile is presentable.

If this does not appeal, he recommends having an official and non-official version to ensure recruiters can discover nothing incriminating.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Labour Market Outlook survey found company's net employment intentions have remained similar to last autumn, with 28 per cent expecting to increase the number of staff they hire.
