New research shows that nearly three-quarters of companies will look to improve their profile using the internet, which could create opportunities for web designer course graduates.

Figures published by Easynet Connect reveal that half of businesses believe a strong presence online can put them on a level playing field with larger firms.

Nearly half say the internet is a key tool in surviving the recession, with one in five suggesting it is the main way they aim to beat the recession, suggesting that web designer course graduates could have strong job prospects in the sector.

Chris Stening, managing director of Easynet Connect, claims the internet is the key factor which differentiates the current downturn from those of the 1990s, with 71 per cent of companies asserting that they could not survive a day without it.

He states: "With small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using the technology in more and more innovative ways to help them out of the recession, it will be interesting to see how this figure changes in the coming years."

In other news, Phil Turnbull, marketing managing at Hostway, recently claimed companies will turn to rich media content such as videos for their online advertising efforts, which could potentially provide jobs for web designer course graduates.ADNFCR-2238-ID-19083546-ADNFCR
