Remote working awards launched

Remote working awards are set to highlight how home-based employment can benefit the environment, business productivity and employees' quality of work life.

Companies entering the Remote Worker Awards, which are organised by Remote Employment, will receive national recognition and receive prizes that will increase the effectiveness of their at-home workforce.

Paula Wynne, organiser of the awards and co-founder of the company, commented that she expects to unearth an abundance of pioneering firms who champion distance learning and working solutions.

She said: "The Remote Worker Awards will feature the winners in a Remote Worker E-Book to help other companies to implement a flexible and remote working programme."

Last week, the Institute of IT Training announced that UK IT skills development firms can now begin compiling entries for the IT Training Awards 2010.

The benchmark ceremony for excellence in the IT training industry is now in its 14th year.
