CV must be relevant and succinct

Making sure that a CV is relevant and succinct is a key part of the job hunting process, it has been claimed.
Lesley Winterflood, head of recruitment for the UK, at KPMG, commented that her group looks out for applications which avoid pages and pages of information and list key details, which may include the fact that a person has taken an IT training course.
She said: "We want to make sure that people are qualified for the field that they are in, that their experience is up to date and relevant, and that their CV is quite succinct."
Ms Winterflood added that remaining concise is vital for applicants, with information such as experience of IT training schemes or distance learning able to be listed in bullet points.
Last week, a study by the IT Job Board found that 75 per cent of recruiters believe that the completion of an IT training course can help those looking for employment.
