Bookkeeping staff getting on better with bosses

Bookkeeping professionals' relationships with their supervisors are improving, it has been revealed.
In news which may be of interest to those undertaking bookkeeper courses, research carried out by specialist staffing service Accountemps indicates 89 per cent of the workers have a good rapport with their bosses, compared to 87 per cent who were able to say this in 2005.
Max Messmer, chairman of the group, commented that building strong relationships with peers and supervisors is a priority for most professionals during positive and negative economic climates.
"Employers must continually nurture a culture in which employees feel valued and engaged - workers who enjoy interacting with each other not only make the office more pleasant, but also produce better work," he added.
Last month, Malcolm Trotter, chief executive of the International Association of Bookkeepers, commented that the ongoing recession has made it more important than ever to undertake bookkeeper courses.
