75% of recruiters believe IT certifications improve employability

Three quarters of recruiters believe that completing an IT training course can boost a candidate's ability to get a job, a new study shows.
Research by The IT Job Board has found that additional qualifications can improve the employability of those looking for work.
A total of 84 per cent of professionals in the field believe that graduating from an IT training course boosts their opportunities, while 87 per cent say that hiring managers are more likely to take someone with a certificate of this type.
Alex Farrell, managing director of the company, claims that obtaining a qualification in this area could be the key to getting a job in the current economic climate.
She says: "It is clear to see that both recruiters and candidates value certifications and the fact that these can have a huge impact on peoples' IT job opportunities."
