Time is right for bookkeeper courses

The economic downturn has made it more important than ever to undertake bookkeeper courses, it has been claimed.
According to Malcolm Trotter, chief executive of the International Association of Bookkeepers, the skills training is particularly important for those running small businesses.
He continued: "For people who are looking to give themselves more opportunity for the future, now is the time to go out there and do a bookkeeping course or to improve their skills."
Mr Trotter went on to say that jobs requiring bookkeeping qualifications will increasingly become available later this year or early in 2010 as the UK economy recovers from the downturn.
This week, mayor of London Boris Johnson announced the London Development Agency is to invest £23 million in improving employment skills in the capital.
The cash injection will be used to encourage jobseekers to improve their CV writing, interview techniques, skills acquisition and English language ability.
