Research and relax for job interview success

Job candidates able to research and prepare ahead of job interviews and relax on their big day are most likely to land their dream role, it has been claimed.

Writing for the Globe and Mail, reporter Bruce Sandy stated that the more a jobseeker practices with a career counsellor before heading into the interview room, the more comfortable they will be, while all hopefuls should ensure they are well rested and relaxed before meeting their potential employer.

He went on to say that studying the roles and responsibilities of all those expected to be leading the interview is good preparation for the big day.

Mr Sandy added: "Be prepared to offer a one to two-minute response when asked to provide an overview of your career. Be ready to list your major strengths and accomplishments, along with examples of each."

Earlier this week, Jobsite.co.uk's Recessional Recruiting report indicated that 35 per cent of UK employers are hoping to ride out the recession by recruiting specific talent to crucial roles within their organisations.
